Survey about EMEUNET webinars.

Webinars are a new EMEUNET initiative we hope to start and would like your input and opinion.

Webinars have now become increasing popular to allow large numbers of people that are separated by distance to come together and view a presentation, interact and ask questions. We therefore believe that this could potentially be very beneficial to our members. We would like to run Webinars on a number of different topics and would therefore like your input on this.

If you could please take the time to answer this very short survey regarding this topic so we can fully meet the needs of our members we would be very grateful

Survey on development of a European portfolio

We need your help!

EMEUNET is supporting an initiative entitled “Development of a European Portfolio”. The aim of the project is to investigate if there is a need among rheumatology fellows to develop a European Portfolio.

A portfolio is helpful to keep track of your personal development and skills. It might, in the future, also enable movement between countries during training.

The target population for this survey are trainees in rheumatology, (young) rheumatologists, other medical specialists with an interest in rheumatology, researchers who have clinical experience. Whether or not you are using a portfolio at this moment or have used a portfolio in the past: your input is valuable to us!

What is a portfolio?

A portfolio is an instrument that can help you to reflect your practice, deliver summative assessment and aiding the knowledge management processes. They are seen as a key connection between learning at organizational and individual levels.

Most often, portfolios that are used in education contain evidence of how you as a rheumatology trainee fulfil your tasks and how your competence is progressing.

Purpose of this survey:

1.       To see if there is a need for a portfolio among European rheumatology fellows (i.e. to decide whether we should move forward with this project).

2.       To define which countries already use a portfolio.

3.       To get insight into whether you think that a portfolio is helpful during the training of becoming a rheumatologist.

4.       To learn which aspects should be reflected in the portfolio.

Please complete the survey if you belong to the target population!

The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Once you click on the link you will be taken directly to the survey. Unfortunately you can't save the survey and return to it later, so it should be done in one go.

Thank you for your time!

Survey on training in rheumatology across Europe

Have you become a rheumatologist during the last 5 years? Are you a rheumatology trainee?

We need your help!

EMEUNET is supporting an ongoing initiative entitled “Assessing the standard of training for rheumatology fellows”. The aim of the project is to gather important information on how training in rheumatology is conducted in every country and to provide stakeholders with data on which to base their decisions. All 45 EULAR countries are participating in the project. This an extremely important project and such an ambitious initiative has never before taken place.

The project consists of 2 phases. In phase 1 data has been gathered data on the length, structure and contents of the official training programs and curricula used across the 45 European countries. For this phase 2 in order to gather further data on the reality of rheumatology training program delivery, an online survey has been developed on the achievement of competences, the formal training received and the assessments performed within each training program.

Please complete the survey if you are a rheumatology trainee (who is already performing his rheumatology training) or if you are a rheumatologist who has achieved his certification in the past 5 years.
