Organisation of EMEUNET

EMEUNET comprises of five levels of participation:

EMEUNET MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY

This is the fundamental basis of EMEUNET – the development of a pan-European network of young rheumatologists and rheumatology-based researchers. Membership of EMEUNET provides access to regular newsletters, opportunities and activities geared towards the young rheumatologist/rheumatology researcher. Age is limited to people aged 40 years and younger.

COUNTRY LIAISONS

One person per country, who is an EMEUNET Member and who is responsible for dissemination of EMEUNET-issue/EMEUNET-related information in his/her country. This is a 1-year position which should not be renewed for more than 3 years.

EMEUNET WORKING GROUP

This group undertakes the organisational role to facilitate the wider aims of EMEUNET and represent the EMEUNET Community. The group consists of 48 persons and a rotation of around one third of the group is ensured each year, aided by a typical duration on the group of 3 years. 

EMEUNET SUBGROUPS AND SUBGROUPS  LEADERS

Most of the work within the EMEUNET Working Group takes place in subgroups, with each subgroup focusing on a particular aspect of the organisation. Current subgroups include: Social Media, Education, Country Liaisons, Visibility, Newsletter, Peer Mentoring and Global Affairs. Each subgroup has one or more leader(s) who may change every other year.

EMEUNET STEERING COMMITTEE

The steering committee includes 3 members, the past chairperson, current chairperson and chairperson-elect. The Chair has a mandate of one year and the participation in the steering committee lasts for 3 years.
