Organization of EMEUNET

EMEUNET offers various levels of participation :

EMEUNET MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY

This is the fundamental basis of EMEUNET - the development of a pan-European, now world-wide, network of young rheumatologists and rheumatology researchers. Membership of EMEUNET provides access to regular newsletters, opportunities and activities geared towards young rheumatologists and rheumatology researchers. Membership is limited to people below 40 years and can be acquired with a free registration .

COUNTRY LIAISONS

An EMEUNET Member for each country, who is responsible for the dissemination of all EMEUNET -related information to his / her country. This is usually a 1-year position which should not be renewed for more than 3 years.

EMEUNET WORKING GROUP (SUBCOMMITTEE MEMBERS)

This group undertakes the organizational role to facilitate the against aims of EMEUNET and represent the EMEUNET community. The group consists of 53 members from 19 countries (as of 2021-2022) and a rotation of around one third of the group is ensured each year, with an application process for the selection of new working group members from the wider EMEUNET community. EMEUNET COMMITTEE

Most of the work within the EMEUNET Working Group takes place in subcommittees, each focusing on a particular aspect of the organization. Current subcommittees include: Social Media, Education, Country Liaisons, Newsletter, Peer Mentoring and Visibility & Global Affairs. Each subgroup has one or more chairs. Before 1 December of each year, Members of the EULAR may propose to the EULAR Board candidates to be nominates as Members of the Committee (subcommittee chairs), which will be evaluated by the Chairmanship of the EULAR Committee. The EULAR Board nominates the Members of the Committee as a rule at its spring meeting.

EMEUNET CHAIRMANSHIP

The Chairmanship includes 2 members: the current Chair and the past Chair or Chair-elect, depending on the year. The Chair has a mandate of two year and the participation in the Chairmanship lasts for 4 years (one year as Chair-elect, 2 years as Chair and 1 year as past Chair). Before 1 December of each year, Members of the EULAR may propose to the EULAR Board candidates for the Chairmanship of the Committee. The applications will be evaluated and commented by the Chairmanship of the EMEUNET Committee. The EULAR Board nominates the Members of the Committee as a rule at its spring meeting.
